NETGEAR 5 PORT GIGABIT SWITCH (GS605-400PES)

The NETGEAR GS605-400PES 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch provides a simple and efficient way to expand a wired network. Its five 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports allow multiple computers, printers, network storage devices, access points and other Ethernet-enabled equipment to connect to the same network.

The switch provides 10 Gbps non-blocking bandwidth, enabling connected Gigabit devices to communicate efficiently without requiring complicated network configuration. Automatic speed negotiation allows each connected device to operate at the highest common speed supported by the switch and device.

Designed as an unmanaged switch, the GS605 requires no software configuration or network administration. Simply connect the Ethernet cables and the switch automatically handles the network connection. Auto MDI/MDIX also removes the need for crossover cables.

The switch incorporates IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet technology to help reduce power consumption. Its fanless construction provides silent operation, making it suitable for desktops, workspaces and other environments where low operating noise is important.

The GS605 supports jumbo frames up to 9,216 bytes, a 1 Mbit packet buffer and a 2K MAC address table. Its compact design can be placed on a desktop or mounted on a wall, making it a convenient networking solution for homes, small offices and SOHO environments.
