Do I need to create an account to place an order on WellknownComputers.com?

You can browse products freely, but creating an account is recommended to track live orders, manage shipping addresses, and download official GST tax invoices easily. Guest checkout is also available.

Are all products sold on WellknownComputers.com genuine and covered by manufacturer warranty?

Unless expressly stated otherwise, products are new and sourced from manufacturers, authorized distributors and/or established supply partners. Warranty is product/brand specific and subject to manufacturer's warranty terms.

Ordering, Pricing & Payments

What payment methods are accepted, and what happens if my payment fails or is debited without order generation?

We accept all major Indian payment methods via secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways (including Razorpay / PayU), such as UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Net Banking, and authorized EMI options.
Payment Failure & Reconciliation Policy: If your account is debited but an order confirmation is not generated due to a technical error or connection drop, the funds are held securely by the payment gateway. The payment will either automatically reconcile and confirm your order upon status verification, or the amount will be refunded back to your original payment source by your bank/gateway within 3 to 7 business days.

Why do IT component prices fluctuate on the website, and when is an order legally accepted?

Computer hardware and semiconductor pricing is subject to dynamic market forces, foreign exchange rates, global supply chain availability, and import tariffs.

Order Acceptance & Pricing Errors: An order is deemed accepted only upon dispatch from our fulfillment center and issuance of a shipping confirmation with tracking details. Placement of an order or receipt of an automated order confirmation email does not constitute binding acceptance. In the rare event of an obvious pricing error or inventory stock discrepancy, we reserve the right to cancel the order prior to dispatch and issue a 100% full refund.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Standard order processing estimated timeline is 1 to 2 business days. Estimated delivery timelines range between 3 to 7 business days across serviceable pin codes in India, depending on destination distance, courier transit routes, and local conditions. Please note that delivery timelines are estimates and are subject to courier operational delays, regional transit restrictions, and force majeure events.

How can I track my shipment?

As soon as your order is dispatched from our fulfillment center, you will receive an automated email and SMS containing your airway bill (AWB) number and direct courier tracking link. Please allow up to 12 to 24 hours for the courier partner's portal to update live tracking status after dispatch.

Defective Items, DOA & Transit Damage

What should I do if my package arrives physically damaged or if the item is Dead On Arrival (DOA)?

The short reporting window of 12 to 24 hours (or up to 48 hours under e-commerce rules) applies specifically to visible outer transit damage, package tampering, item shortages, wrong product delivery, and initial apparent DOA. You must notify our customer support team within this timeframe with uninterrupted video recording of package unboxing and photograph evidence. For latent technical defects arising after initial setup and use, standard manufacturer warranty terms separately apply throughout the product's official warranty period.

Does Wellknown Computers offer returns for change of mind or compatibility issues?

No return for change of mind, preference, aesthetic disliking, or buyer compatibility error, subject to applicable statutory rights and our DOA/defect/wrong-product procedures. Customers remain responsible for verifying technical compatibility prior to purchase.

How do I claim product warranty after delivery?

Manufacturer Warranty Policy & Responsibility Distinction: Warranty services and technical repairs are provided directly by the respective product brand/manufacturer in accordance with their standard terms (via on-site service visits or authorized service center drop-offs). Wellknown Computers acts strictly as an authorized retail distributor; we do not perform in-house component repairs. However, our team will actively assist you by providing official GST tax invoices and serial number verifications to validate your claim with the manufacturer.
